Dear members of the Board of Trustees,

Please read all of the information and instructions below regarding this important annual survey of our School Director.

The School Director, Jane Zeender, now in her third year in this leadership role, is the sole employee of the Board of Trustees of Shining Mountain Waldorf School. A thorough review is conducted each year to evaluate her performance by a sub-committee of the Board, with the entire Board participating in her overall evaluation and approving the review. This process of evaluation and review is taken very seriously by the Board, which creates specific, consequent structures for the support and development of the School Director each year. This evaluation is not possible without receiving the feedback we ask of the entire community. Evaluation of the performance of the School Director is based on many factors, including how she fulfills the job description, her work with the strategic plan and annual goals, as well as her professional development.

Thank you for your considerate responses to the following questions regarding Jane’s performance. Your feedback is necessary and is greatly appreciated. The members of the School DIrector Review Committee are the only persons who will be privy to these completed review forms. Confidentiality will be maintained. If you wish to include your name, you may, and any requests for follow-up will be responded to by members of  this committee.

While responding to these narrative-style questions, answer only what you can speak to directly and honestly based on your personal relationship with Jane in your role(s) at the school.

If you do hold multiple roles at SMWS and receive more than one questionnaire, please complete at least one, from your perspective in your role of greatest professional responsibility to the school. That having been said, we hope that you will  complete all of the questionnaires that you receive, from the perspective of each role that you actively fulfill. All of your comments are valid and we wish to receive as much input as possible.
